Jeffrey Mayer is a renowned concert photographer whose career began in 1966 after seeing The Beatles at Shea Stadium. What started as a passion quickly became a full-time pursuit, leading him to document rock's greatest icons, including Led Zeppelin, The Grateful Dead, and Pat Benatar. Over five decades, Mayer built one of the most comprehensive photo archives in the music industry—once known only to insiders.
His work has appeared in Rolling Stone, Billboard, The New York Times, and countless other publications. He's photographed album covers, official box sets, and behind-the-scenes moments from the rise of music videos to the golden era of classic rock. Mayer’s rare and iconic images have become a lasting tribute to music history.
